Supplier Quality Assurance Engineering Manager Associate
Minimum Requirements POSITION DESCRIPTION: Drive plant generated G8Ds; Contain supplier quality defects within 24 hours; Facilitate disciplined problem-solving with suppliers and plant teams on all supplier quality issues; Conduct supplier review escalation meetings and three panel chart generations to identify trends and control shipping recommendations for problematic suppliers; Manage supplier quality related delivery stops and yard campaigns by defining the problem and scope; Execute delivery stop campaign deploying method, tools and human resources; Coordinate monthly PQR plant meetings to supplier quality decks by identifying the issues and driving for quality executive summaries for meetings with senior management; Organize PPM database for enterprise scorecard monthly monitoring providing corporate supplier quality metrics (supplier scorecards); Provide G8D disputes resolution by evaluating evidence provided against supplier’s issue solutions. 5% international and 20% domestic travel required; must live within normal commuting distance of San Antonio, TX. International Motors, LLC is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineering Manager Associate in San Antonio, TX with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of supplier quality experience including 1 year lead experience OR Master’s degree and 4 years of supplier quality experience including 1 year lead experience OR 8 years of supplier quality experience including 1 year lead experience. Required Skills: Use root cause analysis to find origin of a problem and understand how to fix it (4 yrs); Apply GD&T to identify specific features of a part that are critical to solve a problem (4 yrs); Apply Design Engineering Standards and Requirements (AWS, SAE - Society of Automotive Engineers, ASME – American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ANSI – American National Standards Institute), GD&T (ASME 14.5) – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Regulatory to understand engineering prints and ensure part compliance through problem solving and during corrective and preventive actions (4 yrs); Apply requirements used in Commercial Vehicles (ITAR – International Traffic in Arms Regulations, FMVSS – Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) to assess supplier ability to meet manufacturing requirements related to supplier compliance during the corrective and preventative actions (4 yrs). 5% international and 20% domestic travel required; must live within normal commuting distance of San Antonio, TX.
