Production Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of supplier assessments, drive both corrective and preventive actions based on supplier maturity and performance levels. Each day, you will manage operational supplier quality, both on-site and off-site, ensuring the thorough execution of supplier qualification and development processes. You will also showcase your expertise by managing the supplier’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification business in Smart Power division at Bangalore, India.You will be mainly accountable for:• Driving approval process for supplier parts, materials, and project subcontractor services, as applicable, involving collaboration with other functions/experts, encompassing activities like Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and product surveillance at supplier manufacturing sites.• Leading in promptly addressing supply issues related to quality, deliveries, non-compliant products, or project services.• Working together with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claims cases when necessary.• Ensuring required supplier development processes are thoroughly executed to drive continuous improvement of the supplier base.Our team dynamicsYou will join a high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

You are immersed in supplier quality function in our smart power industry You have 5 to 8 years of experience in performing Supplier Quality, Incoming Inspections, Reducing Non-Conformance, Conducting Supplier Audit (ISO 9001) and Supplier Development for UPS Products Possess an enhanced knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Degree in Electrical / Mechanical engineering You are at ease communicating in English
