Danfoss Burner Components is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer who is detail-oriented and motivated by collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvements, resolve quality issues, and ensure high standards in supplied components.
Burner Components is a small, dynamic business in the Danfoss organization, driven by a strong culture and a unique team spirit. Here, decisions are made quickly, and you get the chance to work on a wide range of tasks and explore new areas from the very beginning. You will become part of the QEHS team consisting of five dedicated employees who work closely together to ensure quality, environmental, health, and safety standards while continuously improving processes and supplier performance.
Your workplace will be our factory in Nordborg, Denmark and you must expect up to 10 travel days per year.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs our new Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of supplied components by working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Your focus will be on driving continuous improvements, handling supplier complaints, and facilitating quality processes to maintain high standards.
Furthermore, it will be your responsibility to:
Manage supplier complaints and ensure that robust corrective actions using the 8D methodology are implemented. Facilitate the APQP/PPAP process from start to finish in collaboration with the development team, production, and incoming inspection. Monitor and develop selected suppliers to drive continuous improvements. Coordinate and optimize processes in incoming inspection, focusing on material quality and supplier deviations. Conduct QMS and process audits at supplier sites. Background & Skills
To be considered for this role, you should have the following:
An engineering background or another relevant education. Solid technical background with the ability to interpret technical drawings and a strong understanding of measurement principles. +3 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer, why you have solid knowledge and experience with APQP/PPAP process’ and general quality tools such as D/PFMEA, MSA, control plans, SOP, and 8D. Audit training in ISO 9001/IATF 16949 is an advantage, but not a requirement. You communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. Danish skills will be an advantage.
You work independently and excel at managing stakeholders at all levels. With strong communication skills and a structured, quality-focused mindset, you stand by your decisions even in challenging situations. Furthermore, you are communicative and confident in your decisions, even when facing challenges. As you will be part of a small quality team, you are flexible and eager to take on additional tasks during peak periods.
