Supplier Quality Engineer - Electromechanical Wiring

Siemens Fort Worth, TX is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their new manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and coordinating the factory supplier quality program. This position must possess knowledge of data analysis techniques to resolve complex supply chain issues, and a continuous improvement and proactive mindset in driving down risk to the product and customer. This person will coordinate suppliers and verify their quality standards are in accordance with Siemens requirements. Identify technical problems with suppliers, find root cause and implement corrective actions, as well as actively working on improving suppliers’ performance.

You will make an impact by:

Maintain accurate supplier quality records and databases. Monitor supplier quality performance and report results to management. Travel to assigned suppliers and perform sporadic supplier audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and verify their qualifications, as well as actively participating in strategic supplier development and lead multiple projects to completion. Monitoring engineering changes and coordinating with engineering and process quality engineers for approvals. Execute vendor PPAPs (Product Part Approval Process) and ensure they are completed on-time. Support production, incoming inspection, and warranty departments on the resolution of supplier issues. Communicate with suppliers for resolution of non-conformances, ensure corrective actions are implemented and credit for non-conforming product is provided in a timely manner. Maintain successful relationships with suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory departments Track vendor returns and ensure material in the non-conforming area is disposed of in less than 40 days.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 2 plus years’ experience working as a Quality or Manufacturing Engineer in a Manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings coupled with analytical, root cause and corrective action techniques. Demonstrated experience using an ERP Software; SAP preferred. Ability to inspect and measure items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation. Must be able to utilize various inspection tools and equipment including but not limited to: Calipers, Micrometers, Tape Measures, XRF Meter, Custom Fixtures, Digital Equipment, etc. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of metrology techniques for inspection and validation of parts. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standard Internal auditor certification.

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
