Supplier Quality Engineer I
MAU is hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer I for our client in Greer, SC. As a Supplier Quality Engineer I, you will support the development of new suppliers’ quality and production systems to ensure purchased parts meet specifications. This is a long-term contract opportunity.

Benefits Package 401(k) Life insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid holidays Paid time off Uniform allowance Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field OR 4 years of professional supplier quality process/components experience in an automotive manufacturing environment 2+ years of professional experience in part technology and/or processing 2+ years of experience with: Advanced quality planning techniques (PFMEA, control planning, process flow diagramming, process auditing techniques, PPAP) Advanced statistical techniques (capability and standard deviation studies) Microsoft Office Preferred Education and Experience Certified Quality Management (CQM) Certified Quality Engineering (CQE) Basic German language skills (written and verbal) General Requirements Training with quality management computer systems, including QSYS, SPQM, and SAP Essential Functions Collaborate in launch projects after handover to Supplier Quality Assurance, ensuring specification compliance Communicate and coordinate with global plant network, including joint problem solving Assist quality engineers in advanced quality planning such as risk assessment and product/process development Support and execute process series with suppliers prior to SOP (Start of Production) Review ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) releases for assigned products Assess new and challenging suppliers’ quality and production systems Review monthly supplier ratings Support audits based on quality issues and supplier ratings; initiate and verify corrective actions Participate in quality problem-solving for supplier-related issues Review quality management systems at supplier locations Support start-up readiness for new parts and processes Oversee part approval process for assigned suppliers Support reduction of supplier-related warranty claims through defect eradication efforts Perform other duties as assigned by operations supervisor Working Conditions Willingness to travel up to 30%, primarily within regional areas, with occasional travel to other domestic locations Minimal international travel required Works in a normal office setting Wears protective clothing as required by location May work shifts or variable hours occasionally Physical Demands Frequently sits or walks Frequently operates computers Frequently travels domestically and internationally
