Your role and responsibilitiesThe work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid We are now looking for a new Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at IEC LV Motors in Vaasa. As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) you will be responsible for managing and developing supplier quality within our existing supplier base. You will be monitoring and developing supplier quality KPIs as well as planning and managing actions to achieve set team targets. You will be coordinating and leading production part approvals (PPAP) and working closely with stakeholders, such as the R&D, Supply Chain Management and our Emerging Markets Teams located in China and India, to ensure quality of components. You will also take part in supplier registration and approval processes including leading supplier audits. Please note that to best support our supplier collaboration, this position includes travel, approximately 50 days a year. You will be mainly accountable for:• Leading PPAPs and sample approvals. • Performing Supplier Audits • Leading quality improvement projects with suppliers. • Supporting suppliers in quality related questions together with R&D and engineering. • Participating in supplier evaluations and driving corrective action plans for PPM reduction. • Supporting factory quality specialist with supplier quality cases • Developing quality related reporting
Qualifications for the roleA B.Sc. or M.Sc. level degree in Engineering or a other relevant field, such as Industrial ManagementWorking experience in Quality, Engineering or ProductionBasic knowledge of Lean methodology and quality tools with willingness to learn moreGood communication skills in Finnish and English both written and spokenSelf-driven working-style Good skills with reporting tools, such as PowerBI and/or Minitab, are seen an advantage Ideally you have Lead Auditor competence and/or the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, but these training can also be organized after you join us
