Cook Research Incorporated is currently accepting applications for a fulltime/ paid Supplier Quality Engineer Intern position, to be onsite at their West Lafayette, IN facility from August 2025 - December 2025. This position is responsible for quality activities related to selecting, developing and maintaining suppliers. This position includes 401(k) options, assigned mentor, onsite fitness center, onsite cafeteria, and a one-time housing stipend. All internships provide hands-on experience with meaningful projects in the Medical Device Industry.
ResponsibilitiesSupplier Quality Agreement negotiation;
Evaluate supplier change requests;
Qualify new suppliers;
Monitor quality performance of suppliers;
Assist with pre-audit supplier research, planning/coordination, report writing, and audit finding follow up; and
Generate Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) including issuance, evaluation, and effectiveness monitoring as required.
QualificationsMultiple disciplines will be considered (e.g., Engineering, Life Sciences, General Business, and Management);
All candidates should have a willingness to take initiative, and an ability to work well with others;
Candidates should be students entering their Junior or Senior year the following semester or entering graduate school; candidates who graduate the spring semester before this internship are also eligible;
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred;
All candidates must provide proof of enrollment in a degree program, via an official transcript to Human Resources;
This is a hybrid role, requiring students to be onsite 1-3 days/ week; and
Qualified students must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Cook does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
