This position will report directly to the LM Aeronautics Quality Ground Regulations Assurance Senior Manager providing regulatory oversight and support of our DCMA Instruction 8210.1 Sustainment Program contract requirements.

In this role the selected person will be required to perform the following tasks under the daily direction of the Aeronautics Ground Operations Procedures Sustainment Lead:

Assist the Sustainment Lead in the management of assigned site Aircraft Ground Damage Investigation processes.

Assist the Sustainment Lead in direct interface with JPO, DCMA, and Service Officials, Federal, State and Local regulators and Senior Program/Functional Management to ensure compliance in aircraft ground operations and AOS/AOI Survey preparation.

Assist the Sustainment Lead in coordinating surveillance/compliance audit preparations and forecast yearly budget allocation as needed.

Assist the Sustainment Lead in performing contract reviews to determine contract scope as it relates to DCMA INST 8210.1 requirements.

Ability to work flexible hours and possible weekends in the support of CONUS and O'CONUS service and sub-contractor operations.

Ability to travel up to 50 percent in support of DCMA Instruction 8210.1 compliance oversight at contracted military sub-contractors locations.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Ability to travel up to 50 percent in support of DCMA Instruction 8210.1 compliance oversight at contracted military/ sub-contractors locations.
• Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening, presentation, and technical writing Internal (leadership) and External (DCMA, JPO, MOD, DOD, Etc.) customers
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - e.g. macros, pivot charts/tables, v & h lookups, etc.
• Advanced expertise in 3 or more of the following areas: statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling, six sigma, FAI, PPAP, PFMEA, process auditing, product validation, root cause analysis/corrective action, and supplier quality management.
• Experience with root cause, corrective action and/or continuous improvement (RCCA, PDCA...etc.)
• Must be able to interface/work in a cross-functional environment (e.g., engineering, quality, production, supply chain, program office).
• Previous experience in supporting and maintaining military fixed wing aircraft
• Working knowledge of DCMA Instruction 8210.1 requirements
• Familiarity with the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter or similar military fighter jets.
Desired Skills:
• GFR Survey/AOI audit, or similar preparation experience
• Experience working with and interacting closely with government customers (DCMA, APT, etc)
• Previous military or DOD experience in Aviation Maintenance
• Experience with Data querying, modeling, analytics and trend analysis.
• Must read and understand technical requirements (e.g., specifications, engineering drawings, work orders, technical orders, technical publications, etc.).

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $105,000 - $197,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $91,300 - $175,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
