Estimated annual base pay: $104,800 (minimum) - $131,000 (midpoint) - $157,200 (maximum)

The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of supplier quality improvement strategies as well as the continuous improvement of supplier's quality systems, design and manufacturing processes that support Woodward. This position is a strong contributor to supporting and achieving Global Supply Chain quality objectives. The position involves collaboration with Supplier's Senior Leadership as well as internal Directors and Managers to ensure the alignment of supplier performance. This position is accountable for deployment of best practices and assurance of consistency for supplier quality engineers regarding supplier audits, supplier selection, APQP, PRR and PPAP processes. The supplier quality manager will be responsible for supplier quality metrics such as PPM, CAR resolution cycle time, and NCR reduction, along with driving permanent root cause corrective actions.
What you will be doing…
Coordinates and integrates supplier quality assurance processes and procedures
Approves, on-boards, and selects suppliers for all items
Implements PPAP, PRR APQP, and continuous improvement initiatives
Represents Woodward at suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies
Ensures effective Root Cause and Corrective Action within the supply chain
Reports supplier quality metrics to management and drives corrective action
Stays abreast of current quality and regulatory trends and methodologies
Provides leadership, direction, and development of direct reports
Develops and maintains appropriate site supplier quality organization
Oversees supplier certification program and the Supplier Improvement Process (SIP)
What we are looking for…
Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Science, Technical, Engineering, or Management
Experience of related work in quality and/or operations leadership in manufacturing environment
Experience with APQP and process capability improvement
2-5 years Experience working with quality management systems with solid understanding of quality management systems, process approach, and continuous improvement methods and tools
Proven leadership capability for collaborating with internal and external customers toward continuous improvement
Strong understanding of: QMS; Processes approach; ISO, AS and TS; APQP; LEAN principles; Six Sigma tools and methodologies; other continuous improvement methods to support lean order fulfillment processes
Strong knowledge of statistical concepts and methods to ensure appropriate application and analysis of data, with strong ability to analyze issues, solve problems and develop others to do the same
