Supplier Relation Strategy- Consulting Principal

Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Effectively execute and expand the service orientation related to the Working Relations Index (WRI) survey with current and prospective clients across diverse markets Lead and manage the Supplier Relations Analytics (SRA) internal team projects including: Develop methodologies to keep the survey relevant to the industry Evolve SRA methodologies and go-to-market strategies Create opportunities to cross-serve with other practice areas such as the auto value chain and ESG (Environmental, Society, and Governance) practices of Plante Moran Lead practice development through a consultative mindset to broaden services via proposals, engagement letters, and client relationship-building activities Work across Plante Moran’s Management Consulting practice to increase SRA’s awareness and engagements Play a trusted advisor to automotive suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) through continued support and expansion of industry relationships Develop content for firm market development, with a particular focus on the automotive industry

The qualifications.

Bachelors’ Degree in Finance, Economics, Operations, Engineering, or a related field is required Advanced degree in Business or a related field is preferred 15 + years of experience in strategy or operations management consulting, or automotive industry strategy and operations Capable of analyzing automotive and manufacturing research data Proven practice development experience is required Qualified individuals must either reside in or near the Metro Detroit area or be willing to relocate to the area for this opportunity Travel throughout the US and limited international travel may be required
