Supplier Relationship Manager

Job Summary

Works with the IFF business units and Global Procurement Logistics teams on operational carrier performance according to agreements. The main target is to extract maximum value out of the negotiated deals with logistics providers by closely monitoring KPIs and lead improvement projects with the internal clients.

Responsibilities/Description:

Agree on the targets & metrics associated with a new service request(s) together with the SBU (Internal Customer). Documents & maintains the agreements and informs the Logistic Buyer who is buying the service(s).Monitor and analyses the agreed logistics KPI’s of the logistics services providers, documents the records and makes the updated results available to the stake holders (procurement team, “right to operate” team, internal customers & management) via standard reports to be discussed during scheduled performance reviews.Coordinate & review the investigations for the forwarders/carriers, logged non-conformities, including quality & response time. Puts corrective & preventive actions in place by means of action trackers to ensure effective implementation.Monitor the market trends & provides guidance on logistics operations to all the stake holders (procurement team, the “right to operate” team, internal customers & management).Support the logistics supplier evaluation processPrepare the slides & metrices for review meetings with logistics service providers and business representatives.Work independently according to given authorizations and within the defined framework of internal and external objectives /guidelines /regulations and informs supervision about unusual and exceptional cases only (escalation).Interact with BU and forwarders/carriers, representing the voice of the customer & play a major role in future volume expectations (forecasts) from our businessesOrganize and facilitate meeting with SBU on a regular basis (at minimum monthly), next to the day to day operations. During this (monthly) meeting the SRM and SBU will review SBU specific KPI’s and follow up of the action tracker.
 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field+4 years' experience in Logistics with good understanding of best practices in the logistics market and regulationsKnowledge of MS Office toolsKnowledge in logistics and supply chain (domestic and international)Fluent business English communication skillsNegotiation skillsEffective communication skills across all levels of the organizationAnalytical and quantitative skillsProblem solving skillsAbility to lead change and deliver resultsStrategic thinkingMicrosoft Office tools training
