The Supplier Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers, ensuring the highest standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. You will play a critical role in our supply chain management strategy, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support our mission of delivering high-quality medical devices.

Supplier Management: Develop and implement strategies to manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules. Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with suppliers
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and mutual growth.
Performance Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance metrics, compliance with contracts, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Resolving any issues or disputes with suppliers efficiently
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to align supplier capabilities with product development needs and production timelines.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring continuity of supply.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform sourcing strategies and supplier selection, supplier developments to inform strategic decisions.
Compliance: Ensure all suppliers adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, including ISO and FDA regulations.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on supplier performance, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
Ensure compliance with company and division-wide purchasing/procurement strategies, policies, standards and practices.
Drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging best practices and innovative solutions to improve procurement processes
Mentor manufacturing site procurement teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and internal policies in all procurement activities.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for his position.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred with 10+ years of experience or equivalent education and years of experience
5+ years of experience in supplier management or procurement, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry.
Certifications:
Lean or Six Sigma certification is preferred
PMA and/or APICS Certification is preferred
Experience:
Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred
Excellent business acumen, including demonstrated abilities and leadership with financial analyses, business case preparation, NPV, ROI, and data-driven approach
High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook.
Strong understanding of procurement strategies, tools, and software.
Proven track record of managing teams and projects to successful outcomes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decisions at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work effectively with a variety of cultures, people, styles, and personalities
Proficiency in procurement software and data analysis tools.
Must be able to read and write in English. Must be able to demonstrate comprehension of written English by successfully completing unassisted written tests, including but not limited to, Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, quality assurance processes, and regulatory requirements in the medical device field.
Proven negotiation skills and experience managing complex contracts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
Experience with the details of legal contracts
Must be able to give and welcome constructive feedback; contribute to building a positive team spirit.
Must treat others with respect, work with integrity and ethically uphold organizational values.
This role is hybrid in HQ (Princeton, NJ) with in-office presence Tuesday-Thursday.
