Supplier Relationship Specialist

The Supplier Relationship Specialist is responsible for the supplier management lifecycle and support of supplier-facing applications. This role will function as the central point of contact for suppliers, and QTS employees who desire to initiate a new supplier relationship or update an existing supplier relationship.  This person will be responsible for effectively supporting suppliers to maximize the relationship value to the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

Take a strategic approach at cultivating supplier relationships to maximize value

Ensure new and existing suppliers are maintaining QTS compliance requirements, documentation, and information via QTS tools

Responsible for managing the processes required to effectively manage supplier data, including planning, risk identification and risk assessment, due diligence review and documentation requirements, and updates to the processes

Provide support to suppliers for supplier-facing applications, including but not limited to Workday for supplier registration, Oracle Supplier Portal, iPayables, and ISN

Create and maintain training reference materials for supplier-facing applications to be shared with QTS suppliers

Partner with QTS employees to provide training, analytics, and clarity into the supplier lifecycle to ensure adherence to applicable policies and procedures

Seek out and maintain cooperative, productive cross-functional partnerships throughout the global enterprise; working closely with business partners to evaluate business needs and adapt vendor risk approach to meet the needs of the business as well as regulatory requirements

Monitor and ensure necessary compliance documentation is kept up to date for suppliers

Participate in supplier development/diversity programs and efforts

Identify, enhance, and implement continuous improvements to supplier-related processes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply-Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Operations or Finance or equivalent work experience

Two or more years of relevant experience in Sourcing / Procurement / Supply-Chain, Account Management, or other roles demonstrating relationship building and maintenance

Demonstrates critical thinking, reasoning skills, and strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to prioritize and multi-task

Strong analytical skills

Inquisitive in nature

Ability to apply change management and consulting skills/knowledge and expertise

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

Strategic thinker, high degree of business acumen and interpersonal skills

Skilled in building relationships with key stakeholders

Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

Self-motivated and goal driven
