Role Purpose To plan and organise the business within the Supply Chain Management process thus achieving the Business Objectives in the most efficient manner. To maximise support to Operations, maintenance of demand through MRP for vendor scheduling, and inventory management in line with the programme requirements and company processes. (https://spiritaero.icims.com/icims2/servlet/icims2?module=AppInert&action=download&id=187171&hashed=1809974432) Responsibilities + Set up and maintain system vendor schedules. + Maintain regular communications with both internal and external suppliers and manage this relationship on a day-to-day basis. + Manage all issues associated with amendments to schedule including changes to orders. + To ensure that MRP system is fully operational and accurate for the area of responsibility, including goods receipt where appropriate. + Apply Inventory Mgt procedure to optimise value of inventory across the business with minimum risk. + Assist in the delivery of team targets in support of the Operational Performance Measures. + Ensure non system generated data is kept to a minimum. + Ensure impact of any operational / procedural changes on other stakeholders have been discussed and resultant issues resolved before implementation. + Comply with HSE Guidelines. + Conduct Operational Reviews with set agenda as determined by business requirements. + Attend regular communication sessions with manager / senior to familiarise self with topical issues. + Communicate informally with team members as appropriate. + Assist in the facilitation and implementation of an improvement plan that enhances: + Supply Chain Management processes through regular reviewing and target setting + Beneficial improvement opportunities in realistic timescales + Maintain an awareness of the evolving manufacturing environment + Maintain key performance metrics against agreed targets + Attend twice yearly PDR review with Team Leader / Senior. Qualifications K nowledge, Skills and Experience + Detailed understanding of ERP systems + Experience managing suppliers + Problem solving toolset + Understanding of Project Management principles + Excellent communication skills to all levels within the organisation + Good negotiation skills + SVQ level 3 qualification of equivalent in a related discipline Decision Making Authority + Works within structured boundaries, procedures and work instructions. + Limited decision making authority through Team Leader.
