As a **Supplier Technical Assistance** **(STA) Ford Champ,** you will be responsible of supporting the day-to-day activities of one Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) Engineer role: Site STA, Program STA or Resident STA (at Plant), working together with suppliers which produce and ship parts to Plants: Vehicle Assembly, ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) Assembly, e-Motor (Electrical Motor) Assembly, Axle Assembly and Transmission Assembly. **What you´ll do:** + Support with assigned supplier sites, collaborating with cross-functional teams for tracking compliance to PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) requirements on time. + Support in capacity studies analysis interfacing with suppliers and Ford cross-functional team during reviews of Capacity Analysis Reports (CAR) for compliance to uplift capacity requirements. + Support continuous improvement of Supplier Quality performance metrics, through Benchmarking, Lean Manufacturing, G8D (Global 8 Disciplines) methodology, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility), Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility), etc. as required. + Support STA (Supplier Technical Assistance) Engineer lead during reviews of supplier industrialization readiness assessment -New Model Launch parts-, supplier quality process issue resolution or PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) for Priority commodities and Special Manufacturing Processes. + Support suppliers and cross functional team members, on the Supplier Engagement Process and the APQP/PPAP (Advanced Product Quality Planning/Production Part Approval Process) to ensure Deliverables completion on-time to meet New Model Launch build dates. + Participate and support special meetings as needed, as example: FASS (Field Action Stop Ship), FCPA (Ford Consumer Product Audit), Shortage / DPP (Daily Production Plan), VQR (Vehicle Quality Review), Hard Rocks, etc. + Support resolution of Quality Issues assigned to Supplier Process responsibility, raised through QR (Quality Reject) by Plant, Warranty claim by dealer or AIMS (Automated Issues Management System) by New Model Launch team, using G8D (Global 8 Disciplines) methodology to stablish Interim Containment Action (ICA), identify Root Cause (RC) and implement Permanent Corrective Action (PCA). + Support activities required when supplier process issue identified with high potential impact to the business (i.e.: warranty spike, yard hold, stop ship, stop build), to identify proper root cause owner and notification to STA (Supplier Technical Assistance) Management on timely manner. + **Compliance to all organizational and corporate training requirements.** + **In agreement with STA (Supplier Technical Assistance) Management, work on a project where knowledge acquired of STA (Supplier Technical Assistance) job role plus leadership skills can be applied and benefit evaluated.** + Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of Science/ Engineering Degree. + 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening) + Strong analytical and communication skills + Program Management skills. + Advanced analytical thinking and decision-making skills. + Teamwork and collaboration mindset. + Knowledge of using Minitab statistical software. + Knowledge of problem-solving tools: 8 Disciplines (8Ds), Six-Sigma-DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). + Knowledge of Automotive Standards desirable: IATF (International Automotive Task Force) 16949, AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) Core tools. + Manufacturing process experience desirable. **DISCLAIMER:** Ford Motor Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, as we are committed with a diverse workforce, and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran and basis of disability. **Requisition ID** : 46145
