**About the Team**
We recently brought the Uber Shuttle magic to the US and Canada. Now we are looking to expand the US based team to continue growing as fast as possible! This team targets the B2B space to help companies solve the return to office challenge and to provide riders with an easy, reliable and safe way to get to work. This is an opportunity to be a part of a startup within an established company and to help shape this team and this product offering for the US and Canadian markets.
**About the Role**
This role is based in Washington, DC or Chicago and reports directly into the GM for Uber Shuttle in the US. The Supply Associate - Vendor Relationships, Uber Shuttle will be responsible for driving Uber Shuttle supply acquisition and growth and help build our fleet partner base as we expand across multiple cities in the US and Canada. This role requires strong commercial acumen coupled with good people skills to drive engagement with fleet partners. The team has worked very hard to gain customers as well as fleet partners and we want to do everything we can to build up our base of fleets in order to support customers with their various use-cases. An ideal candidate is a self-starter who has a hard-work mentality, is detail oriented, is professionally persistent and creative. This role is best suited for people who are comfortable working on unstructured, early stage problems.
**What You’ll Do**
- **Identify and Source Fleet Partners:** Actively identify and engage with potential fleet partners across the US&C region to expand Uber Shuttle's supply network
- **Conduct Market Research:** Perform thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and find potential partners in targeted regions
- **Drive Strategic Initiatives:** Prepare a go-to market plan and fleet acquisition strategy; prospect potential partners through inbound and outbound channels and conduct rigorous follow-ups to close deals
- **Partner with Existing Fleets:** Collaborate with current fleet partners to understand their expansion goals in different markets and help them grow their business with Uber Shuttle
- **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Work closely with internal teams, including Operations, BD, and Sales, to ensure seamless integration of new fleet partners
- **Negotiate Contracts and Pricing:** Lead negotiations with fleet partners to secure favorable terms, including pricing, that align with Uber Shuttle's strategic goals
- **Build and Maintain Relationships:** Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with fleet partners to ensure sustained collaboration and mutual growth
- **Be an owner:** We’re building a business and there’s a lot that we don’t know. You will need to be a self-starter that doesn’t shy away from facing challenges and takes initiative to ensure we move the business forward.
**Basic Qualifications**
- 1+ years of relevant experience in the tech, shuttle/charter, logistics, or freight industries
- Prior experience in business development, customer sales, account management, supply management, procurement or operations is a plus
- Strong business and operational acumen as well as critical problem solving skills
- Proactive and creative solutions-driven approach, with a ‘get it done’ attitude
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets with the ability to help visualize data for customer and internal presentations
**Preferred Qualifications**
- The ability to clearly communicate and present information to stakeholders across all levels of the business - internally and externally
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfort working in a startup environment where you are helping to create structure
- Open to traveling 2-3x per quarter
- SQL proficiency is a plus
- Experience working in a startup or early stage company is a plus
- Experience working in the shuttle or charter industry is a plus
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base hourly rate range for this role is USD$33.66 per hour - USD$35.46 per hour.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base hourly rate range for this role is USD$37.50 per hour - USD$39.42 per hour.
