Description
We offer an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain coordinator in the wholesale distribution industry in San Francisco East Bay, California. This role will primarily involve tracking and dispatching shipments, managing inventory, establishing vendor relationships, and handling purchase orders.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the purchasing team to maintain accurate product data and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with the sales team to ensure accurate delivery dates.
• Develop and implement logistics policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents.
• Monitor and report any cost inefficiencies to management.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to improve processes throughout the company.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
• Provide training and guidance to team members when required.
• Resolve logistics-related issues or disputes.
• Forecast and plan Material Requirements for the organization.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes.
• Manage third-party logistics service providers and negotiate contracts and pricing.
• Evaluate and manage the performance of logistics service providers.
• Responsible for managing warehouse operations.
• Responsible for the accuracy of shipments and meeting all documented service requirements.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Wholesale Distribution industry
• Proven skills in Customer Service and Logistics
• Proficiency in Inventory Tracking and managing Purchase Orders
• Experience with E-commerce operations, including online sales, order processing, and customer service
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner
• Advanced knowledge of supply chain processes and principles, including but not limited to procurement, manufacturing, and delivery
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in using supply chain software and related tools for inventory management and forecasting
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
