JOB SUMMARY:
Under general direction, responsible for maintenance and integrity of Item Master in PeopleSoft Materials Management Information System. Coordinates collaboratively with purchasing and contracting teams to ensure the highest quality of data. Responsible for protection and integrity of all data consistent with industry best practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Functions as a technical expert in supply chain applications.
2. Maintains Item Master in PeopleSoft Materials Management Information System (MMIS). Serves as strict gatekeeper of Item Master and ensures that all updates and additions are made in accordance with established guidelines. Ensures that established standards are followed.
3. Responsible for supporting all information systems and processes that support the operations of the supply chain throughout the Clinical, Academic, and Research operations of WFBMC, including PeopleSoft Supply Chain, analytics systems, master data files.
4. Communicates throughout Resource Management on item creation/deletion/maintenance activities. Collaborates with Operations and Value Analysis divisions to make certain that Item Master maintenance activities do not adversely impact end-users and/or operations.
5. Serves as a liaison with Information Services to maintain Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with vendors.
6. Assists with the optimization and continued expansion of the PeopleSoft supply chain module to maximize efficiency of operations and leverage system automation.
7. Provides first level support to Supply Chain team for PeopleSoft related issues within defined scope of responsibility.
8. Assists with the implementation and use of industry standards such as UNSPSC, GLN, GTIN, etc. in the Item Master. Remain current on emerging standards in industry by reading of trade journals, interviews with suppliers, participating in educational opportunities, serving on industry committees, etc.
9. Coordinates the addition of new vendors in PeopleSoft by serving as liaison between Strategic Sourcing and Accounting/Finance.
10. Understands all system interfaces to PeopleSoft MMIS and ensures accurate and consistent data between systems. Assists in the creation of new interfaces, as required.
11. Assists the Manager, in maintaining General Leader (G/L) accuracy by ensuring that all supplies being purchased via the Item Master are coded to the appropriate G/L account codes.
12. Accesses and analyzes multiple data sources pertinent to Strategic Sourcing activities, including internal data, supplier provided data, budget projections, and market reports.
13. Creates and maintains several custom PeopleSoft reports to extract data. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities Prior experience in PeopleSoft desired Demonstrates competency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word Attention to detail Ability to complete tasks with high degree of accuracy consistently and with minimal oversight
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field with two years related experience. Four years directly related experience in Information Technology, Data Management, or Supply Chain will be considered in lieu of degree.
