The Spend Logistics Analyst will actively manage the global freight payment and audit process including the execution of existing processes, root cause resolution with third-party providers, heavy coordination with Copeland’s Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) program, issue escalation to global mode team leaders. In addition, development and maintenance of all program metrics as well as ownership of Copeland’s data compilation and spend analytics.
This individual must have or develop an understanding of Copeland Global Logistics programs, transportation systems and processes, as well as the end-to-end overview of the Copeland Supply Chain Programs, while possessing strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
Responsibilities
Spend Visibility Process Execution and Improvement
Actively manage and resolve CASS payment queues to ensure approval is done in a timely manner. Seek resolution to resolve on-going issues
Proactively work with Copeland global and CASS to solve any invoice/ procedural issues.
Ensure payment terms area consistently achieved
Process improvement: work closely with local operations to develop strategies to streamline and improve the accuracy of the freight audit and payment processes
Identify and implement business process automation
Accounting and Finance Support
Ensure compliance with accounting and legal requirements as well as aligning with industry standard
Timely execution of the monthly financial close
Support the allocation of global freight expense to the required general ledger codes.
Analytics and Reporting
Metrics and Reporting: Reporting of Key Metrics, participation in supply chain and logistics strategic meetings including the development and presentation of materials to management
Develop and maintain dashboards to meet business needs
Determine global metrics needed to drive business improvements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
BS Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting or related field
2 years professional experience in Supply Chain/Logistics, Finance, or Data Analytics.
Demonstrated skills to perform Root Cause Analysis and Identification
High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word software
High Proficiency in data reporting software like Power BI or Sigma
Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential. Including appropriate language skills to ensure proper communication with the global program management team (English) and local plant personnel.
Demonstrate competency in working and excelling in a team environment including the ability to interact and facilitate change across all levels of management within and outside the organization.
Preferred:
At least 1 year experience with data analytics (SQL, Python, VBA) to support workflow business process automation would be beneficial.
Familiarity with transportation and supply chain concepts and systems. Experience with Oracle Transportation Management is preferred.
