Maintains adequate levels of supplies and equipment on the nursing units.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
A. Assists the Central Supply Coordinator as follows:
Maintains adequate levels of sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment and utensils on the patient care units. Cleans, assembles and packages equipment, supplies and instruments according to terminal cleaning and sterilization procedures. Rotates stock to ensure sterility. Receives and examines all purchases. Attaches charge tickets to all chargeable items. Records stock numbers and maintains appropriate records.B. Maintains equipment in proper working condition and notifies the Central Supply Coordinator of defective equipment in need of repair.
C. Maintains competency according to Competency Program requirements.
