Supply Chain Associate - Early Careers Development Program 2025 Supply Chain Associate- Engage and develop proficiency in all major areas of the WestRock Supply Chain with demonstrated knowledge surrounding Procurement, Logistics and Product Planning. Responsibilities- Develop a broad understanding and base of the supply chain functions. Able to plug and play into all entry level roles within Supply Chain along with a strong understanding of processes. Expectations: * Understanding of upstream and downstream supply chain * Develop production plan for BU * Lead S2C processes (Source, Negotiate, Contract) * Lead P2P processes (cradle to grave order processing) * Understand and manage Inventory levels (both Finished Goods and MRO) * Understand the papermaking process at a high level * Shadow current leaders within Supply Chain * Develop leadership abilities through cross functional engagements * Lead small to mid-level initiatives across Supply Chain * Successful completion of a Yellow Belt/Green Belt Six Sigma project & certification * Proficient in JDE, SAP/4HANA, Panther, Load Xpert How you will impact WestRock: * The two-year program consists of a series of rotations designed to explore different supply chain functions and aspects of the paper and packaging industry * Rotations are selected based on business need and can be anywhere within the United States * This role as a Process, Production or Project engineer has multiple responsibilities including continually exploring opportunities to optimize production, improve quality, and reduce cost. * The ECD Rotational Associate may also support projects in Supply Chain and Logistics, Sustainability, Safety, R&D, and/or special assignments What you need to succeed: Education: * \u202FRequired: Pursing a Bachelor\u2019s degree or have completed a Bachelor\u2019s in Supply Chain Management or a related field by June 2024 * \u202FPreferred: Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA Critical Skills / Capabilities: * Analytical:\u202FDemonstrates a general understanding of various sources of information or data that are relevant to the business; summarizes or integrates information for routine problems or issues with oversight from others as necessary * Detail-Oriented:\u202FHas an eye for recognizing errors or differences; plans and completes work with thoroughness, giving attention to specific information and individual details, conditions, necessary record keeping, and elements of that work * Time Management:\u202FPlans, prioritizes, and manages time spent on accomplishing tasks to increase productivity and efficiency; demonstrates awareness and control over amount of time spent on activities; meets deadlines * Communication:\u202FClearly exchanges thoughts, ideas, and messages through written, verbal, and non-verbal methods that promote an understanding with the target audience; listens carefully and attentively * Adaptability:\u202FDemonstrates willingness to relocate anywhere within the United States based on business need, flexibility, and a willingness to modify one\u2019s approach to achieve desired results; responds quickly to changing demands, processes, and updated information * Organizational Skills:\u202FPlans, arranges and/or monitor's work to ensure achievement of desired results; establishes a systematic course of action to accomplish objectives * Collaboration:\u202FWorks effectively with others to complete a task or achieve a common objective; ability to cooperate in both interpersonal and team relationships to foster enthusiasm and maintain mutual trust, candor, and respect for others.\u202F\u202FWorks through conflict constructively * Problem-Solving:\u202FIdentifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; generates and evaluates alternative solutions; makes recommendations; demonstrates tackling a problem by using a logical, systematic, or sequential approach * Innovation:\u202FApplies \u2018out of the box\u2019 thinking and thorough research to develop creative new ideas and approaches to accomplish a goal or objective in an efficient and effective way Smurfit WestRock is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating and maintaining a diverse workforce: Minorities/Females/ Disabled/Veterans.
