Job Description:
The Associate level Technical Data Analyst position is focused on developing impactful solutions for customers within a defined clinical or business area. The Associate level analyst works within a team to understand customer data and information needs, and provides support through data exploration, interpretation, statistical analysis, report development and visual storytelling. They regularly attend meetings with customer stakeholders to provide work updates, understand project priorities and establish deliverable timelines. They are a member of an Agile Delivery Team comprised of professionals working together to develop technical products focused on enabling Intermountain strategic initiatives and operational targets.This position is part of a highly skilled, high impact team with deep clinical and technical expertise in leveraging healthcare data to solve real-world problems. Our teams report to senior analytics leaders and work in strong partnership with key business and clinical leaders across all areas of Intermountain Healthcare. This team provides ongoing training, maintenance, monitoring and promotion of data applications and reports to ensure data insights are widely known, accessible, and used to its fullest potential. Using the Scaled Agile Framework®, Data Analysts will partner with business and clinical leaders, and data professionals across the organization, supporting our Mission to help people live the healthiest lives possible.In Brief, the Associate level Technical Data Analyst will develop a meaningful understanding of the data and operations of the business/clinical areas you support and partner with Analyst leadership to ensure customer priorities are understood and resourced. Provide a high level of expertise and customer service in order to delight business and clinical customers through innovative and impactful project deliverables. Contribute technical acumen and creative thinking to the success of the Agile Delivery Team and work to advance technical professional skills though structured and personal learning opportunities.This postion is Monday-Friday on site
This position supports the implementation, education and support of supply chain systems and tools. This position supports operational projects, continuous improvement and works collaboratively with supply chain and facility departments.
This position is on site; M-F 8-4:30 (start/end time could vary by an hour either direction)
Scope
1.Helps design the analytics structure and delivery of information for the SCM department. Continually evaluates all sources of data requested for reporting and recommends ways of automating the collation of this information.
2. Conducts data analysis in support of a variety of Supply Chain functions including but not limited to key performance metrics, supply cost performance, sourcing and contracting, the procure to pay function, and inventory management.
3. Designs and produces scheduled reports, dashboards, reporting to meet ad hoc requests, etc.
4. Interprets data, analyzes results and provides insight to determine operational impact, trends and/or opportunities for Supply Chain. Consults with end-users to review results and opportunities.
5. Supports various SCM applications. Assist with training associates in the usage of applications.
6. Assists with implementation of new IT systems or functionality. Helps support and optimize existing systems used throughout the SCM organization.
7. Designs and/or participates in process improvements initiatives designed to support SCM work teams.
8. Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree is required
Two (2) years experience in data management and automation, data reporting or analytics is required
Preferred
Five (5) years experience in healthcare, finance or supply chain is preferred
