ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret engineering blueprints to ensure accurate procurement of materials.Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.Analyze demand forecasts and sales data to determine material requirements and production timelines.Source and procure raw materials, components, and supplies from reliable suppliers.Negotiate contracts and terms of purchase to secure the best possible prices and conditions.Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to meet production needs without overstocking.Coordinate with various departments, including procurement, inventory management, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless operations.Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production cycle time, efficiency rates, and on-time delivery rates.Communicate with sales and customer service teams to provide updates on production status and address any changes in demand or production issues.Handle capacity planning and logistics projects to optimize resource utilization.Essential SkillsExperience with supply chain, ERP, and Supply Chain Buying & Planning within a manufacturing or engineering environment.Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.Proficiency in negotiating with new vendors as needed.Experience in purchasing, procurement, and purchase order management.Experience with SAP and project management.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.4+ years of experience in a supply chain, procurement, or planning role within a manufacturing environment.Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing setting in a small to mid-size company that is rapidly growing. The company has recently expanded its engineering capabilities. The dress code is business casual. The work hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Employees enjoy paid holidays and a minimum of one week PTO, with the possibility to negotiate for more. The company boasts an exciting growth forecast and very low attrition, with employees only leaving due to relocation or retirement.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.84 - $36.06
