Supply Chain Clerk - 3rd Shift

Scope:

The Supply Chain Clerk performs the following duties before the material is brought into the production room: verifies the actual material matches the bar code and description on the Bill of Material, verifies the actual material matches both bar codes on the pallet, verifies the expiration date of the material, verifies the condition of the packaging of the material, verifies the material is staged to the appropriate staging bin location, and checks that the actual pallet quantity coming into a room matches the quantity on the bar code label.


Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work placeReports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to ManagementImmediately issues materials to appropriate job numbers as the material is brought into the production roomImmediately informs the Production Supervisor or Coordinator of discrepancies between the bar code quantity and actual quantityRequisitions materials and/or ingredients from warehouse personnelRuns variance report and compares material used to material staged and provides the information to the supervisor or the lead on a timely basisAssists Production Leads to ensure pallet quantities match tag quantities for any material returning to the warehousePrints and monitors bin aging reports throughout shift to identify problems and resolves them immediatelySuggests changes to procedures that may increase the accuracy of inventoryAssists leads in ensuring the staging bin inventory is accurate at the end of each production shiftMaintains area free of debrisSuggests ways to control labor and supply costs as well as improve processesEnsures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvementEnsures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are followedFollows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices)Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested All other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalentStrong working knowledge of MS Office applications with proficiency in MS ExcelMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills and exhibit attention to detail Able to effectively communicate to all levels of the organizationPossess basic reasoning and problem solving skillsHave the ability to work independently and with a team within a fast paced environment Demonstrate and promote teamwork on a consistent basis

 

Physical Demands: 

Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend Must be able to work extended hours while standingContinuous walking throughout plant and distribution centerLifting up to 40 pounds
