Area:

At the Hub in Uruguay, we have a Supply Chain area, with a motivated and high-performing team where we offer a wide range of services in the supply chain connected to BASF's import, export, and transportation orders. We manage customer sample orders, material and label data creation management, customs management, and supplier operations. With our team of experts, we develop solutions that allow for greater efficiency and agility in our operations. In other words, we manage the flow of goods of products or services from the acquisition of raw materials to the delivery of the product at its destination across the Americas. The areas of Supply Chain include: Import, Export, Samples, Customs and Foreign Trade, Transport Management, Experts, and Master Data.

 

Main Objective:

Propose and Optimize the Supply Chain process and ensure rollout of globally or regionally defined processes. Foster cross regional cooperation in import, export, logistics and other activities in Supply Chain Operations, capturing and structuring all regional operational requirements to develop and implement standard/harmonize solutions.

 

Main Tasks:

Support and lead continuous improvement projects of established processes, promoting standardization and digitalization in Supply Chain operations. Lead and accompany the implementation of global projects that involve foreign trade and logistics operations that take place in the countries and/or regions.Participation in strategic meetings for the development and implementation of new initiatives to improve supply chain processes. Build effective working relationships between functions and businesses, engaging in regional supply chain communities.Encourage "outside the box" thinking to stimulate innovation.Challenge the current processes to implement solutions that provide efficiencies in operations, achieving reduction of administrative tasks, minimization of execution times, reduction of operating costs and improve the service level of the operations.Provide monthly KPI reports as well as other data analysis and reporting. Execute data extractions using BASF systems and databases (daily, weekly, monthly...) Validating the accuracy of the data and attaching the necessary information to allow the generation of reports for decision-making.Work closely with operational teams to identify improvement opportunities.

 

Requirements for the Position:

Education: University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or International Relations.Working Experience: 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution Network Operations, Continuous Improvement, Project Management.Language skills: Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese is valued.Technical skills: Knowledge of Supply Chain processes. Advanced level use MS, Excel and Power BI. Knowledge in SAP.Soft skills: Lateral leadership skills, excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, networking, negotiation skills, stakeholder management, and detail orientation. Able to apply strong project management background and communication skills to effectively summarize issues and collaboration on solutions.Tools & Technology skills: Knowledge in Project Management Tools (is valued) Project Experience: Leading Continuous Improvement Projects.
