The Supply Chain Courier, using NAH owned vehicles, is responsible for the transportation of mail, medical supplies, equipment, laboratory specimens/cultures, medical gases, pharmaceuticals, and deposits between Verde Valley Medical Center, Flagstaff Medical Center, Sedona Medical Center, and any other NAH facility or office.

Responsibilities

Transport/Maintenance
• Pick-up, transport, and deliver to designated locations. Deliveries may include any of the following; mail, medical supplies, equipment, laboratory specimens/cultures, medical gases, pharmaceuticals, and deposits

• Obtains signatures and records proof of delivery for all transported goods

• Loads and unloads vehicle using two-wheel dolley, four-wheel platform cart, and/or pallet jack

• Follows scheduled route and meets delivery times.

• Maintains delivery vehicle by driving to designated service stations for maintenance, repair, and refueling. Maintains service record of all these events.

• Will participate in On-Call Duties for STAT Courier calls.

• Completes other courier stops as directed by supervisor.


 
Administrative
• Uses provided software to document chain of custody for transported goods.

• Assists in creating and/or filling supply requisitions, when included in route.

• All required logs and documentation are accurate and complete


 
Training/Volunteering
• Assists in training of new employees

• Volunteers or accepts assignments for departmental projects, completing within an appropriate time frame.

• Actively participates in departmental goals, offering input for departmental goals for each year.


 
Compliance/Safety
• Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through using NAH RDE tool.

• Attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner, monitors work environment for possible safety issues.

• Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statues and company policies that impact the employee’s area of responsibility

• Ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.

• Maintains a clean 39-Month Motor Vehicle Record

• Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training the specified time frame

Qualifications

Education
High School Diploma or GED- Required

 


Certification & Licensures
Arizona driver's license with no moving violations within prior 36 months- Required

 


Experience

Driver/Courier Experience- Preferred

 

Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department. Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basic software programs.
