Supply Chain Customer Service Specialist

Overview The Supply Chain Customer Service Specialist plays a key role in maintaining smooth communication and service between Smoothie King locations and our authorized Foodservice Distributor. This role supports the Supply Chain team with inventory and order guide management while ensuring service levels and pricing consistency for our stores. The Specialist will collaborate closely with store teams, internal departments, and distributor partners to drive effective supply chain operations. Additionally, this role will generate weekly and monthly reports to track sales and purchasing trends, providing valuable insights to assist the team with inventory management and vendor contracting. Act as the main point of contact for stores, resolving issues and providing solutions related to Distributor interactions. Advocate on behalf of stores to address and resolve concerns with Distributor locations. Analyze inventory levels at Distributor locations, communicating when stock appears too high or low based on weekly movement trends. Audit monthly Distributor Order Guides to ensure accurate pricing for stores. Identify patterns in Distributor errors, investigate root causes, and develop processes to prevent future issues. Support the Vice President of Supply Chain and team with analysis and implementation of specific programs and projects. Serve as a liaison for field teams and internal departments, addressing questions and directing requests related to the Foodservice Distributor, while collaborating across teams to support department operations. Manage the communication of National product launches to the Foodservice Distributor and follow up to ensure inventory levels and launch dates are met. Pull month-end inventory data from Distributor locations into tracking sheets, analyzing ingredient trends for significant shifts. Assist the Vice President of Supply Chain and the team with program analysis, implementation, and various projects. Focus on optimizing supply chain processes to prevent out-of-stock situations and enhance inventory management. Conduct regular business reviews with Distributors to identify improvement opportunities and foster growth. Maximize store profitability by managing Distributor relationships to detect and prevent profit leaks. Track monthly sales and inventory movements to identify trends and effectively communicate findings to the Supply Chain team and relevant partners. Complete special projects and assignments as requested. Responsibilities Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on building strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels. Expertise in data analysis and trend identification is essential. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain accuracy. Strong sense of urgency paired with a proactive, “can-do” attitude. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver clear and effective presentations. Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Operates with composure and urgency, maintaining focus under pressure. Demonstrates professional pride and takes ownership of their work and accomplishments. Practices honest, open communication with team members, fostering trust and transparency. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and effectively prioritize competing demands. Promote the culture, values, and mission of Smoothie King. Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred. Minimum of 4+ years of experience in customer service or supply chain management. Advanced experience with analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.). Proven experience supporting multiple individuals at various organizational levels. Familiarity with food and beverage distribution processes is preferred. Personal passion for fitness is a plus.
