Supply Chain Development Manager

Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Development Manager to join the Defence Future programs part of Aerospace Procurement capability in Bristol.

As the Supply Chain Development Manager you will lead a team of Mechanical Engineers and Quality Engineers to develop and approve the supply chain required to support the Defence Future Programmes. Working with the broader Rolls Royce team you will capture requirements, then plan and execute work packages that deliver against the objective. You will foster strong relationships to implement a self-directed team that works alongside the Buyer, PDL and ME in establishing the desired supply chain. Your creative approach will establish sustainable, long term supply chains, providing a competitive edge for Rolls-Royce, our customers, and suppliers. You will manage strategic senior level relationships both internally and externally, coach and mentor your team to strengthen our supply chain performance over the life of the programme.

What you will be doing:

Lead the team in the development of a supply chain maturity assessment tool.

Responsible for understanding the capability and/ or capacity gaps with the identified supply chain.Accountable for driving and leading APQP and PPAP for Defence Future Programmes activityAccountable to identify and implement solutions to develop the supply chain as necessaryUndertaking SABRe audits for onboarding new suppliers

A degree at BA level, coupled with experience of working with supply chains and engineers and proven leadership at this level in a regulated or complex industry. Strong quality and ME skills demonstrated through a proven track record of successful supplier engagement activities at a senior level.Understanding of SABRe and other supplier certificationsPassion to drive change and make a difference combined with ability to solve complex problems.

To apply for this role, you must be able to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.
