Job Description:
The Supply Chain Director is responsible for leading the market supply chain operations to ensure the quality and cost-effective delivery of goods. This role involves strategic planning, implementation, and management of supply chain processes, including demand planning, customer service, logistics and inventory management. It is also responsible for QMS in the market ensuring compliance with all quality standards and continuous improvement agenda.
This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain strategies with organizational goals, optimize supply chain performance, mitigate risks and un-lock new RTM opportunities, and continuous improvement in customer service at the right cost. By utilizing data-driven insights and industry best practices, the Supply Chain Director will ensure the seamless flow of products while maintaining high standards of quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
The Market Supply Chain Director will sit on the local leadership team and contribute to driving business growth and mitigation of risks though supply chain activities. The jobholder will be responsible for the success of the market long-term strategy (OGSM) as it relates to supply chain.
The Supply Chain Director will be the leader of S&OP+ Step 3.The jobholder will report directly to the Market GM and indirectly to the regional Supply Chain
director.
What are we looking for?Proven skills and experience in Supply Chain management: Supply Chain Theory & Principles, understanding of key supply chain concepts like logistics, inventory management, distribution, forecasting and customer service.
Transportation Management: Knowledge of transportation modes, routing, scheduling, and cost optimization strategies to improve delivery efficiency.
Proven experience as an engaging and successful line manager.
Expertise and hands-on experience in the S&OP and S&OE processes.
Sustainable Supply Chain Practices: Knowledge of environmentally friendly practices, including reducing carbon footprints, using renewable materials, and promoting green logistics.
Experience with Supply Chain transformation, such as Process Improvement, Digital transformation and Change management.
What will be your key responsibilities?Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company goals.
Optimize supply chain processes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Monitor and analyze market trends to anticipate and deploy future supply chain challenges and opportunities.
Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including supply and demand planning, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, customer service and QMS.
Ensure smooth coordination between factories, internal teams, and external partners to meet customer demands.
Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics (3PLs) and carriers
