In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Supplier development, supplier set-ups, contract negotiations, beta material purchases, phase in/out planning with both manufacturing and suppliers, specification communications to suppliers, and capital and expense justification and execution / purchasing. Work with design engineers, sales, marketing, quality, suppliers, and manufacturing to design, source, prototype, and launch new products. Independent completion of assigned projects Prepares and updates independent project schedule Meet Independent project schedule requirements Lead the project transfer of existing product from existing supplier to new supplier Coordinate POs to get required FA and PPAW parts order for pilots at SVIM Coordinate EOL/PCN of all electronic components Ensure new products are designed for sourcing to ensure sustainable supply and minimal risk. This includes supplier capacity analysis, supply base capability is available, and development of a dual sourcing strategy when warranted. Work with global supply chain commodity managers to ensure supply chain strategic alignment. Report progress against established indicator targets. Conduct make / buy analysis when needed, to determine optimum manufacturing strategy. Provide regional supply support to other world area staff as needed to meet the business unit objectives. For This Role, You Will Need:
Skills to interface with various internal functions / suppliers to achieve desired results while keeping the highest ethical standards. Strong communication skills: verbal, written, presentations to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization. Strong project management skills both organizationally and systems to manage multiple projects and complex data sets. Technical competence to interface with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, purchasing, materials, and supply chain personnel. Ability to comprehend and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and customer specifications. Solid computer skills including MS Office. Good Fisher product knowledge desirable.Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
