Danfoss in Tallahassee, FL is searching for Supply Chain Interns. The interns will be part of the process of developing, implementing, and leading cost down and sourcing strategies for the organization including Direct and Indirect Materials Services at Danfoss. This includes assisting activities with other business colleagues across the globe, ESG consultants, and project teams to secure both cost sustainability as well maintain ESG leadership position within the industry. They will also maintain product contribution margin levels through supplier simplification, part standardization and reduction of non-value added activities, assisting in identifying productivity opportunity, quality & fulfillment through strategic supplier relationships.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Prepare various timely reports including cost savings (comparing results vs. established goals), cost increases, quote/project analysis and other such reports, as needed. Prepares and reviews cost down proposals and recommends solution to the executive team. Provide Engineering/Manufacturing with Project/Product cost data as requested; share calculations knowledge and data with the global members of value management. Analyzing costs by studying historical data, identifying trends in expenses, and recommending cost reduction strategies Run Analysis on material requirements and capacity calculations. Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain or Business. Availability to work 20 hours per week during the semesters Knowledge of inventory management and project management. Technology-savvy with a working knowledge of MS Office Applications, specifically Excel & PowerBI. Tactical excellence: Ascertains the activities which are necessary to translate strategy into formal project plans that drive sustainable value to Danfoss. Considers impact on other department s before implementing plans. Communicates and Influences: Assembles facts and information to build a business case for change. Seeks constructive feedback and responds professionally. Demonstrates managerial courage; possesses strong negotiation skills resulting in win/win outcomes.
