Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Intern to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Pass and Seymour Team in Concord, NC, Charlotte, NC, or Fort Mill, SC. We design and manufacture the most advanced wiring device solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets. We are looking for an intern to be part of our strategic sourcing and supply chain team. As an intern, you will gain valuable experience contributing to purchasing projects, developing material plans, supporting the SIOP process, and interacting with cross functional teams. Legrand / Electrical Wiring Systems offers a school friendly environment with flexible schedules. We value our employees and want to help our interns receive the experience they need to be able to start their careers after graduation. You will learn how to work in a professional environment and will see the results of your work on a weekly basis. Off semester (usually summer) interns work 40 hours a week. On semester (usually winter/spring) work about 20 to 25 hours a week on a flexible schedule. The positions are evaluated for renewal on a semester-to-semester basis.

 

What Will You Do?

Assist Commodity Managers with new supplier business review and risk assessments.Work with internal sourcing and planning teams to provide supply chain support.Collect KPI results and create presentation for service-related meetings.Create and maintain SIOP supply content for business units using existing formats. Includes analysis of forecast vs capacity and creation of a future view of supply vs demand.Perform other duties as requested.Analyze all modes of freight data.Create / document process flows.Contribute to process improvement initiatives: Identify opportunities for streamlining transportation processes or enhancing efficiency.Propose innovative solutions or improvements based on best practices within the industry. Required Skills

 

Education: 

Pursuing degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation Mgt or related field.

Required Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.Self-motivated and capable of working to project deadlines with minimal supervision.Great attention to detail and ability to contribute openly with sourcing and supply chain teams.Strong analytical skills w/proficiency in Microsoft Window and Office software, specifically Excel/Pivot tables or other data analysis tools.BI tool or TMS is a plus.Pursuing degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation Mgt or related field.Proactive problem-solving skills.
