Parker Hannifin Canada is offering an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Intern at our Milton, Ontario head office. This role will focus on impactful projects that support our operations across Parker Canada. As an intern, you will gain practical experience and be exposed to cutting-edge technologies. You will collaborate with professionals at all levels of the organization on projects designed to challenge you, expand your abilities, and shape your thinking. The start date for this role will be May 2025, for a duration of 12-16 months. + Collaborate with various Parker divisions, including customer service, engineering, accounting, quality, and marketing, to support cross-functional initiatives. + Take ownership of assigned projects, timelines, and action items related to continuous improvement initiatives and vendor management. + Develop insights into supply chain management and project management processes. + Prepare and analyze timely reports summarizing business activities and project statuses to support informed decision-making. + Monitor supply chain performance and escalate any abnormalities in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to management as needed. + Prioritize tasks effectively, meet commitments, and take proactive ownership of challenges while providing excellent customer service. + Understand and support the implementation of the Parker WIN strategy to enhance operational efficiency. + Currently pursuing a university or college education, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. + Strong analytical and technical skills to understand supply chain practices and identify improvement opportunities. + Exceptional self-management, initiative, and teamwork skills. + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with electronic processing systems. + Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders. + Innovative mindset with a strong understanding of lean enterprise principles and practices. + Superior organizational skills with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. + Knowledge of lean concepts and methodologies is highly desirable. + Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Ariba, SAP, Power BI, and Logility is a plus.
