Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable student pursuing a major in Supply Chain or a related field for our Summer 2025 internship opening. In this role, one will train for future positions in supply chain management including inventory management, procurement and or logistics areas for Parker plants-divisions. This role will allow an individual to acquire skills to produce maximum profit and provide quality service.
Essential Functions:
+ Learn to present positive self-image and make good business decisions.
+ Learn to provide timely reports summarizing business activities.
+ Learn costing, manufacturing process control, logistics and purchasing.
+ Attend required training courses including effective presentations and negotiation skills.
+ Learn Parker’s Lean Office and Manufacturing and Customer Service Programs.
+ Research assigned materials and manufacturing process.
+ Interact with engineering, accounting, quality, operations and a host of other functional areas.
+ Learn the Network Procurement Process and Parker’s WIN Strategy in conjunction with the Strategic Procurement philosophy.
Qualifications
+ Must be enrolled in a Supply Chain Management degree program or similar field. Sophomore class standing or higher preferred.
+ Minimum culmulative GPA of 3.0.
+ Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
+ Must have intermediate computer skills and be able to understand of electronic processing.
+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
