Position Summary:  The Supply Chain Inventory Planner will facilitate network inventory plans between suppliers and distribution centers.  Support our purchasing strategy, ensure efficient inventory management, and collaborate across various departments to maintain a seamless supply chain. This position is responsible for managing the life cycle of products, overseeing impaired inventory, and maintaining accurate supplier profiles.

Principal DutiesEnsure the established purchasing strategy is being executed by our 3PL partners.Manage critical inventory requirements to uphold the assured supply of business-critical products.Communicate inventory plans, inventory conditions, and proactively escalate risk to leadership as needed.Regularly update and communicate supply chain metrics to internal partners on weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for key performance indicators (KPIs).Manage the item life cycle process by collaborating with internal teams and external partners to facilitate new products launches, monitor inventory, verify supplier shipments to the distribution centers, and manage deactivation of exiting products.Manage and monitor impaired/obsolete inventory, ensuring timely resolution of issues.Evaluate and identify optimal freight solutions to distribution centers based on supplier shipping locations, balancing cost and efficiency.Assist other departments at Wawa with supply chain-related analysis, offering problem-solving analysis and solutions.Monitor supplier operational performance around their ability to fulfill purchase orders on-time and in-full.Maintain comprehensive supplier profiles, including essential contacts, production points, and shipping locations.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Marketing, or Logistics preferred, advanced degree a plus.Minimum 2-3 years of experience with purchasing and inventory management.Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio.Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with high volumes of inventory management.Strong understanding of inventory control, purchasing strategies, and logistics operations.
