Supply Chain Lead
JOB SUMMARY At MMT, our objective is to develop excellence in automation, machine design, material handling, and custom tooling. The Supply Chain Lead will be responsible for maintaining shipping and receiving responsibilities, and inventory management. They will also work closely with purchasing to maintain required inventory and supplier relations. This role will interact with other departments to assure the execution of production plans through maintaining accurate, organized and sufficient inventory levels and provide timely delivery of materials to Operations in assembly and contract manufacturing. Work with other associates in overseeing the compiling and maintaining of records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked; attains maximum levels of profitability, customer service, and competitive positioning while minimizing expenses. JOB DUTIES Essential Job Functions : The Supply-Chain Lead will provide reliable and timely support in the following functions: Shipping and Receiving Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods. Oversee packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements for shipments. Collaborate with carriers and freight forwarders to negotiate rates and resolve any shipping issues. Implement procedures to track and trace shipments to minimize delays and disruptions. Maintain control and organization of warehouse. Inventory Management Develop and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize stockouts. Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize stock levels and prevent overstocking. Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement inventory management software systems to streamline processes and improve visibility. Kitting and Issuing material to job orders for assembly team. Process Optimization Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the supply chain and implement solutions to address them. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standard operating procedures. Utilize ERP to identify trends and patterns that can inform decision-making and drive improvements. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position primarily involves warehouse work, including the need to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. SKILLS Ability to interact and utilize ERP software Ability to work as a team player, supporting organizational goals and maintaining a CAN DO attitude Ability to read and write English Able to function in a dynamic, fast paced, environment Forklift certification QUALIFICATIONS Experience – 5 + years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Education – BS/BA in related field, Business preferred Enterprise Resource Planning software experience (Microsoft Business Central preferred) Microsoft Office proficiency preferred WORKING CONDITIONS This position will work mostly in a controlled warehouse environment, and requires sitting, standing, moving and lifting for long periods of time.
