Supply Chain Manager
Strategy Formation and Implementation Develop tactical plans for optimizing resources and assets being managed within a given area or department. Leadership and Direction Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan and to the broader organization's mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals. Supply Planning Execute planning activities within a defined framework/system with dependencies on other processes/units. Supplier Management Monitor, review, and highlight any gaps in the performance of a portfolio of smaller suppliers to recommend and ensure delivery of improvements by suppliers or to renegotiate or change contract/supplier. Budgeting Deliver a budget for an area of the organization or conduct complex analyses on budget progress in other areas of the organization. Inventory Control Achieve specific goals for plant direct inventory Health, Safety, and Environment Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of self and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve them, escalating serious issues as appropriate. Performance Management Develop and propose own performance objectives; take appropriate actions to ensure achievement of agreed objectives, using the organization's performance management systems to improve personal performance. Or manage and report on team performance; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold people accountable for achieving them, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives. Continuous Improvement Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions to build their capabilities. Operations Management Supervise others working within established operational systems. Incoming Goods Manage a medium-sized, medium-complexity warehouse and stores using existing procedures, and develop new procedures when required, to ensure that all goods and supplies are stored and recorded appropriately. Transport Manage the transportation of goods and supplies for a medium-sized organization, using existing procedures; review procedures and recommend improvements to ensure on-time delivery of goods and supplies.
