Supply Chain Manager

Curries (an ASSA ABLOY branded company) has just begun recruitment efforts for a Supply Chain Manager. This is an on-site role that will be based out of our Mason City, Iowa manufacturing facility.

What would you do as our Supply Chain Manager?

You will be responsible for providing leadership and support across the purchasing functions including production, maintenance, and services and driving process improvements in an office environment. 

 

You will also:

Lead and develop cost extraction projects across CURRIES. Lead Supply Chain process improvement projects across CURRIES, including areas of freight, purchasing and materials management. Support and drive improvements to business unit and corporate metrics (e.g. cost extra extraction, seamless flow, e-Auctions, supplier rationalization, material throughput, and payment terms.) Lead supplier negotiations. Develop favorable supplier relations. Mitigate and eliminate unfavorable cost drives. Develop seamless processes within the supply chain team and across the organization. Provide leadership and support to Supply Chain personnel. Prepare monthly reports for CURRIES Supply Chain. Represent individual business unit during monthly metric meeting. Analyze vendor spend and drive out cost. Prepare monthly steel forecasts, order steel, and maximize material throughout. Represent Supply Chain team during business unit day-to-day functions and meetings. Develop and drive standard work procedures within Supply Chain team at business unit level and across CURRIES. Actively participates in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees. Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations, and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

 

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or a related field. MBA preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of supply chain leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. Working knowledge and application of Lean concepts. Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience working cross functionally on projects and goal achievement Excellent computer skills and an ability to apply common applications to drive daily process improvements. Ability to drive change through others. Must have excellent understanding of manufacturing planning systems and technologies and an ability to utilize that understanding to drive improvements in a large manufacturing facility. Must have ability to work with multiple technology platforms. Ability to understand and contribute to quality initiatives. Ability to drive standard work procedures. Should be able to work autonomously and be self-motivated. Ability to travel occasionally by all methods of transportation. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment. Certification in APICS or similar organization a plus. Excellent communicator both written and verbal. Must be highly analytical and have an ability to compile and present data and information in a clear concise and engaging format. Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.
