The Dry Products External Manufacturing organization provides global oversight to external contract manufacturing network.
Responsibilities
The Dry Products External Manufacturing (Dry-EM) Supply Chain Network & Launch Leader is responsible for supervising the Dry-EM Supply Chain team and providing Launch Leader support to external Dry Network contract partners. They will participate in the development and implementation of manufacturing strategies, capacity management projects, and launch of new products for Dry EM. The Supply Chain Launch Leader will represent Dry EM in discussions with external groups (e.g., corporate supply chain, other network sites, sales, and marketing affiliates, etc.) through various forums and meetings to support development of Dry EM and Network plans. The Supply Chain Launch Leader will also be required to lead or participate in special projects in support of the Dry EM Supply Chain and Commercialization processes.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
Dry EM Product Launch Leader
Develop and propose manufacturing strategies related to Parenteral, Dry or Device products.Manage Dry EM product portfolios related to launch of new products and supply chains: capture and pursue business opportunities / challenges.Influence and provide support for Dry EM Business and Long-Range Plans.Support Dry EM and Global S & OP processes.Introduction and deletion of products and portfolio changes.Member of Dry EM Commercialization project teams and governance forums.Serve as a Dry EM SME for supply chain projects and support enhancements to Supply capabilities. Establish and maintain key relationships across supply chain functions at sites, central groups (e.g. Global Supply Chain, SAP teams, Logistics, IHL, ELEXSA).Assist in special projects or improvement opportunities as identified.Support Commercialization Projects as appropriate across Lilly network.Dry EM Supply Chain Team Supervisor
Lead and inspire the Dry EM supply chain team to collaborate with contract partners to plan and execute reliable supplyChampion contract partner & Lilly requirements in continuous improvement of the Lilly end to end supply chainSupport team through day-to-day activities, career development and HR people processesEngage as a cross-functional leader with the Dry-EM manufacturing leadership teamRelationships:
Contract Manufacturing leadership and functions.A part of Global Supply Chain Network Planning extended leadership teamAll relevant functions at the Lilly Manufacturing Networks (such as M&Q central functions, Product Development and Regulatory Affairs).Dry EM and Lilly External Manufacturing teams (API, Dry Products, Central Functions).Basic Qualifications
Education:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in the fields of STEM or Business or Operations.Experience:8-10 yrs experience of working in Supply Chain roles preferably with Product Launch experience.Experience leading and influencingSkills:Ability to establish effective relationships internally and externally to Lilly and to represent Eli Lilly’s mission, policies, and practices in a positive, professional, and ethical manner.Ability to communicate and influence effectively across functional groupsBroad functional expertise and knowledge of Manufacturing, industry practices and applicable standards and regulations.A demonstrated understanding of management systems and their application to business processes within an organization.Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully implement strategies for process optimization initiatives.Ability to work in a global environment.Capability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.Strategic thinking and capabilityAdditional Skills/ Preferences
