Miller Brother Staffing is working with a Steel Manufacturing facility that is in need of a supply chain planner! Amazing opportunity with a well established facility in the area. Looking to hire Immediately!

Job Title – Supply Chain Planner

Industry – Manufacturing

Pay Rate – $24- $36/hr

Shift: 1st Mon- Fri  8am - 5pm

Interview – Yes will interview.

Drug Screen-  Yes, will be tested at Concentra

Job Description/Duties

As a Supply Chain Planner you will work with the latest technology to help us develop new and improved steels that are used in making our world faster, stronger, and more sustainable. Ideal candidates enjoy working in innovative, challenging environments and are willing to constantly raise the bar and create what’s next. A Supply Chain Planner is responsible for scheduling and prioritizing finishing mill facilities as required to meet shipping plans and customer service.

Job Duties

Schedule of all rolling, finishing, and shipping for all rail orders. Support efforts to increase shipments and minimize inventory. Communicates and coordinates Rail shipments and priorities with Sales personnel. Takes physical inventory as required.  Review unconfirmed loads. Update MRF vs Shipments with tons confirmed in last business day.  Apply Tons Produced and Update Tons applied for Stock Orders; add to cookbook as required. Check Cookbook for “Not Before” limitations Shipment dates, verify completeness of TB's displayed to maintain Customer Service requirements. Review weekly schedule meeting handout with changes for quantity produced, quantity through rotary, possible roll change dates. Inventories finished rail for truck shipments as to section, grade, drilling, count, and locations, to order trucks. Verifies 28” Mill Production monthly. Plans and participates in the Rail Mini Meeting and Schedule Meeting. Develop continuous improvement projects to improve the accuracy of the shipping instructions we are delivering to the workforce

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in business or 5 years of planner/scheduler experience in a large manufacturing facility.

• Three years of planning/scheduling experience in large manufacturing facility.

• Good troubleshooting and team building skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Microsoft Project.

• Ability to lift more than 25 pounds on occasion.

• Climbing, kneeling, bending, stooping, walking, use of hands, etc. is required.
