TE Connectivity's supply chain support are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, and planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving the supply chain's efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for creating manufacturing and material supply plans which achieve customer expectations and internal cost objectives. The role will be fully responsible for the delivery performance of TE Braintree products, as well as the control of the inventory and will work in conjunction with other members of the Operations, Finance and Engineering teams.   

Job Responsibilities: Make commitments to customer orders based on robust material supply and capacity plans.  Be responsible for the customer on time delivery performance  Establish lead times for each operation to adhere to shipping dates and commitments according to customer orders  Expedites operations that delay schedules and adjusts plans to meet unforeseen conditions  Manage the execution of plans  Raising of Manufacturing Orders Job Responsibilities Continued: Raising of Purchase Requisitions to support customer demands and meet inventory targets   Implement Capacity Planning  Inventory Management including setting and monitoring parameters Provide Planning support for new Projects in the factory  Support & drive a continuous improvement mindset and methodology across the organisation  Excellent communicator, pro-active and responsive to customer (internal and external) requirements.  What your background should look like: Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning within a dynamic manufacturing environment  5 GCSE’s grade A-C (or eqivalent)   Computer literate, with a good understanding of ERP & Microsoft Office software   ERP knowledge is essential.
