Supply Chain Planner
Job Description The main function of a Supply Chain Planner is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. A typical Supply Chain Planner is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc. This role will be involved in supplier coordination to support supply planning. It will involve meeting with suppliers on project calls as well as strategic meetings with suppliers to discuss capacity, production plans, etc. This role will require being able to receive feedback from suppliers in various forms (email, Excel, digital, virtual meetings) and transpose the information into other data sets (Excel, Power Applications, third party software applications, etc.). Additionally, this role will require occasional negotiation, escalation, and reporting as needed with support from management and leadership team. Skills and Requirements Extensive experience with production planning and scheduling Data analytics experience using Excel / Power BI Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor and materials. Strong ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
