Mission Systems Category Management Team is looking for a Supply Chain Planning Specialist, reporting to the Category Manager.  This position is instrumental in driving the supply base to provide consistently high-quality parts on schedule to support our customers. HYBRID out of Rolling Meadows, IL OR REMOTE WORK CONSIDERED.

Workload Opportunity: 

Perform Open Order Report (OOR) management to include dock dates, need dates and contract dates Lead supplier issue management, prioritization, expediting Complete quarterly supplier assessments (SAMS) and run Supplier Business Reviews (SBR’s) Analyze lead times and identify critical path procurements Report status to affected programs Coordinates cross-functionally (with all program functions) to ensure supply chain commitments are met and that appropriate integrated mitigation or opportunity plans are developed and executed.Leads supply chain execution and is accountable for horizontal and vertical integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity and issue management, supplier performance, and issue resolution.Aligns project scope and deliverables with customer requirements and works closely with the technical community.Demonstrates problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering, or program management.Briefs the GSCPM on the status and issues affecting program performance:  Cost, risks and opportunities, and schedule.Will be involved in special projects and continuous improvement activities.Aptitude to communicate with various levels of internal and external stakeholders

Basic Qualifications for Supply Chain Planning Specialist:

Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 2 years of Supply Chain and manufacturing experience or closely related. OR Associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of Supply Chain and manufacturing experience or closely related.Experience working in Global Supply ChainMust be able to acquire and maintain DoD Secret Security clearanceUS Citizen required

Preferred Qualifications for Supply Chain Planning Specialist:

Develop and execute Excel formulas and functions to align with analytical metricsFacilitate and execute mitigation plans and identify potential risksWork independently and with a team to drive creative, unique solutions to problemsBe able to prioritize tasks for optimal work performanceExperience with hands-on manufacturing processes

Salary Range: $67,200.00 - $105,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
