Chewy is searching for a Program Manager, Transportation Sourcing & Category Management who will own the Small Parcel Transportation category. This role will report to the Associate Director of Transportation Procurement and will be based out of our office in Plantation, Florida.

What You'll Do:

Develop and implement short and long term strategic plans annually for each mode of transportation using internal data, market insights, and research to guide leadership on recommendationsPlan and implement sourcing strategies within the portfolio using our sourcing platformIdentifies and realizes cost savings and reduction opportunities, gains alignment with Finance and internal customers for these wins, and actively tracks post event actual savings obtainedMeets regularly with internal customers to align procurement strategies and cost savings opportunitiesOwns the commercial relationships with internal business partners, vendors, and key suppliers to drive an outstanding procurement teamLeads negotiations with suppliers including contracting and contract managementKeeps teams aware and up to date of industry market trends and standard processes through written and verbal communicationDrives continuous improvement opportunities through systems and process documentation and enhancements for optimal efficiencyComplete analysis on all bid events through the use of sourcing tools, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, DBviz, and SQL queries.Develop compelling written documents that enable senior leadership to make decisions for top company initiativesEnsure all business objectives are addressed and clearly communicated during bid events

What You'll Need:

BA or BS required; MBA preferred. Procurement certifications are a plus (e.g., CSPM, APP, ISM, IPMM or MCIPS)2+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing and developing category strategies3+ years’ experience in transportation and supply chain experience, including experience negotiating transportation agreementsOutstanding organizational and project management skillsExpertise in running Transportation categories and corresponding contract negotiationsAbility to work effectively with cross-functional business partnersOutstanding verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external customersAdvanced Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Tableau skillsExperience in using sourcing tools such as Jaggaer or Coupa a plusDemonstrated ability to deliver measurable and improved results against the organization's KPI'sElevated level of customer focus and an ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environmentUp to 15% travel may be required
