Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

This role will lead transformative supply chain projects to realize Global Supply Chain's strategy. Embracing lean principles and advanced digital tools, you will be instrumental in driving customer value, and innovation. Through a strong emphasis in program management, collaborative partnerships and organizational change management, this roll will optimize strategic processes, champion continuous improvement, and implement optimal solutions that improve efficiency, service, and cost-effectiveness.

 

Role Summary

Lead cross-functional supply chain projects from inception to completion to shape best-in-class supply chain models. Assist and support processes, systems, tools, and information that monitor current performance and anticipate future requirements. Support the roadmap to achieve the global and regional initiatives and ensure SC has the processes, systems, tools and information to monitor their performance and anticipate future requirements.  Deliver effective communication of project updates to multiple levels of the organization. Collaborate across regions to support and facilitate consistency and linkages to enable sharing of ideas and processes for standardization Coordinate within SC for optimal effectiveness  Lead SC projects and analysis Support timely and aggressive actions to achieve targets Ensure proper people development plans are in place, led by Corning values

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (Technical, Business or Supply chain) Minimum of 5 years in Supply Chain Fluent in written and spoken English Experience in managing a team of supply chain professionals Experience in project management and superior organization skills Up to 25 % travel time
