**Job Description**
BAE Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Manager III to support the modernization, conversions and overhaul of government ships. This position will be an integrated part of the BAE Supply Chain team with responsibility to oversee all direct Supply Chain related activities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of ship repair and experience guiding supply chain activities through the project and program management, planning, and quality processes to ensure supply chain compliance to all requirements and directives throughout the program lifecycle. The individual selected for this position will work closely with Capture Management, Proposal Management, Estimating, Program Management and Supply Chain to develop supply chain strategies, obtain proposal inputs, and proactively address supply chain performance throughout the program lifecycle. The Supply Chain Manager III will also be required to collaboratively work with supply chain coordinators and supply chain analysts throughout the life of the project to ensure performance expectations, subcontracts documentation alignment, and develop compliance to governing customer regulations (FAR, DFAR, NAVSEA standards or Commercial / maritime regulations).
The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical know-how in the area of ship repair, while also having strong business acumen with a focus on relationship building and effective communications (both verbally and in writing). This position interfaces vertically and horizontally across all functions and regularly interfaces with department leads and program leadership.
This position will primarily drive cross functional engagements and collaborate with the program team. The primary tool of this position is to develop and maintain a Supply Chain Program Plan (SCPP). The position will routinely communicate effectively and routinely on Integrated Supply Chain performance to the to the program and executive team. The positions significant responsibility is for the development and calculation of Non-Labor costs including Bill of Material (BoM) analysis, costing, and planning. This includes the development of innovative cost models, non-labor statusing, requisition review, and financial support to the Program Office as needed.
Additionally, the Supply Chain Manager III assists supply chain coordinators and supply chain analysts with sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, selection and contractual management of subcontractors, and material purchases, to perform to each project`s specifications, quality, budget, schedule and earned value requirements to include the timely delivery of all deliverables required to fulfill the subcontract. Acts as the main focal point for all supply chain activities and program management office throughout the availability (prime contract). Establishes supplier milestone objectives and monitors supplier performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field.
+ 12 years of supply chain experience
+ Ship repair experience
+ Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
+ 5 years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experienceKnowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)- Exceptional written and verbal communication
+ Advanced analytical skills and business judgment
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Master's degree
+ 2 years of driving process improvements experience
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $135556 - $230444

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
