$57,750 - $127,600Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for all supply chain activities related to the support of external manufacturing as defined in the Global Contract Manufacturing Standards where Manufacturing is responsible for Supply Chain management.
This role is the process expert for the step(s) of the product(s) and process(es) for each contract manufacturing relationship in North and South America.
The role acts as Process expert for Supply Chain for one or more CM relationships. The role is a member of the Joint Process Team (JPT) and has responsibility for the oversight across the supply chain for supply of Lilly products from the CM.
The Supply Chain Representative is responsible, in line with OSSCE standards, for forecast, planning, capacity management, order management and supply of product and sharing information with key stakeholders. A keen understanding of Lilly Supply Chain processes and systems is needed.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
Support On-Going CM Operations by providing technical oversight at the Joint Process Team as Primary Loop support.
The SC Rep in the process team should be or become the process expert with regards to the supply chain of finish/semifinished product and/or raw material and components within the scope of the process team including:Review product demand and develop monthly demand consolidation and forecasts.The SC rep is responsible for S&OP with regional CM’s.Manage supply, batch release and shipment schedules to ensure supply meets customer needs and CM functions can plan appropriate resources.Define, track, and ensure customer service targets for products are set and met.Use OSSCE processes and metrics to analyze supply chain performance, define root causes, drive improvement, and maintain OSSCE A class performance.Track, prepare, and present customer service metrics to drive results and identify improvement areas.Work with CMs to monitor and agree appropriate schedules to meet Lilly purchase order due dates.Communicate supply issues to JPT Leader and CMs and Operation Team, when appropriate.Own an appropriate S&OP process with the CM and manage inputs into Lilly internal S&OP processes.Manage supply chain set up and execution of appropriate shipping and logistics processes to ensure supply to customer.ProcurementServe as liaison.with suppliers, manufacturing and/or service providers for procurement coordination.Perform tasks in SAP (e.g. Create purchase Orders, review inventory, manage procurement master data requests).The supply chain rep is responsible for the Inventory Management as appropriate to the relationship and location of the CM.Monitor inventory levels of raw materials for supply requirements.Lead the inventory target creation, review, and performance of slow-moving obsolete inventory.Work with internal customers and CMs related to forecast accuracy, inventory management, and supply chain issues. Ensure proper coordination between Lilly networks, the required components, and the product suppliers.For US JPTs, the supply chain rep serving as a liaison with NALO or Logistics teams/ support groups to coordinate the supply of product to customers.The Supply Chain Rep in the joint process team should provide support to management of daily operations by:Support investigations for deviations in the JPTs when related to Supply Chain activities.Support change activities for supply chain activities. Initiate trouble tickets/changes related to materials and/or SAP system; work with team members to resolve issues and implement changes.Assist Quality personnel in the timely completion of, SCR Quality Agreement, as necessary.Assist the CMs and Quality on the preparation of any audit from Lilly (GQAAC) or any external agency that impact Lilly products.Support change controls for SKUs additions and deletions.Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the manufacturing Responsibilities Document (MRD) where applicable.Relationship with CMO:
Make regular communication with and visits to External Manufacturers to ensure current awareness of their operations and to maintain a strong working relationship with External Manufacturers.Identify any training needs with the External Manufacturer for supply chain systems or processes. Arrange and conduct training during site visits if necessary.Technical Transfer Projects:
Supply Chain will participate in Technical Transfer Project as required.Collaborate with Technical Project Manager to ensure the appropriate supply chain and governance through the business processes.Inform properly and in a timely manner to Supply Chain Senior Director or JPT Leader about project status, issues, etc. Identifying issues root case and recommended action plans to solve them and avoid recurrences related to supply chain.Continuous Improvement Activities:
Assist in improvement of business practices in SAP and supplier performance.Participate in implementation of future Lilly business system releases and related process updates.Report metrics and develop action plans for improvements.Participate in Supplier assessments.Conduct product supply risk assessments and develop action plans to mitigate supply disruption.Other Potential Responsibilities:
Security stewardship- provide support for role changes, new adds and periodic review.Relationships:
All functions at the contract manufacturers especially Supply chain contacts and leadership.Supply chain functions at customer locations and Lilly supplying sites (e.g. Lilly finishing sites, API or semi-finished suppliers and affiliates where appropriate).All relevant functions within External manufacturing and Lilly Supply Chain functions.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.Significant experience, preferably 5+ years, in a Manufacturing plant or Supply Chain Organization, particularly in relevant supply chain roles (e.g. Planning, Customer service, Logistics, buying and order management) and ideally across both dry products, cartridge/device assembly and/or parenteral products.Additional Skills/Preferences:
