Summary :The Purchasing Resource Specialist, Surgical Care supports the procurement process. Monitors just-in-time inventory for perioperative services. Performs ordering, shipping, receiving, and distribution of supplies, equipment, and materials.Job Description:KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Monitors inventory/PAR levels by using report data. Ensures compliance with ThedaCare quality standards.
Recognizes team and provider product needs for products, services, and purchases. Communicates at a level that promotes team member and provider ownership by providing current standardization options.
Complies with contracts to ensure best prices of products and equipment to ensure fiscal responsibility, proper billing, and financial accuracy.
Reviews purchase order confirmations. Works closely with vendors on issues/concerns to ensure orders are received on time with the proper quantities using best freight options to achieve high fill rates, and with recommendations for substitute items if not available.
Responds to customer needs for information/inquiries for the procurement processes.
Sets up returns with vendors for credits, exchanges, recalls, and defects. Communicates defects to appropriate people to mitigate risks to supply chain.
Works with invoice discrepancies and confirmations for pricing unit of measurement changes, and reconciles invoices as appropriate with accounts payable.
Records issue tracking for regulatory compliance.
Completes paperwork and information to add new vendors.
Coordinates product trials and education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Must be 18 years of age
One year of experience in healthcare environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance
Job classification has the potential to be exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normally works in climate controlled environment
Pushing/pulling/lifting with consistent movement throughout the day
