Supply Chain Risk Analyst

Supply chain resilience is a supply chain's ability to be prepared for unexpected risk events. If you have a resilient supply chain, you can manage to respond and recover quickly to disruptions by returning to the original situation or by moving to a new, more desirable state in order to increase customer service, market share and financial performance. One of the vital ingredients in improving supply chain resilience and flexibility is digitalization, enabling transparency across the entire value chain and the ability to spot relevant patterns and adopt a more proactive approach to managing risk.

Your Role

In this role, you will:

Support the pro-active identification of high risk suppliers, commodities, part numbers or supply chain nodes through an established risk management methodology, aided by digital toolsWorking closely with IT and the Supply Chain Resiliency Program Manager, co-ordinate the annual data refresh for all spend categories in scope of Aptiv’s “Risk Value Heatmap”Conduct research, analysis, identification of risk, and continuous monitoring of supply chain risks and vulnerabilities.Support and actively participate in the execution of cross-functional workshops to drive the execution of supply risk mitigation actionsEngage with suppliers to understand their risk management strategy and approach to supply chain transparency, translating them to actionable insights to reduce Aptiv’s riskSupport programs to improve sustainability, visibility and transparency throughout the supply chainReport out on risk challenges which can have a broad impact across multiple functions and areas of the business which will impact Aptiv’ s supply chainPrepare reports, briefings, point papers, reviews, and oral presentations as may be directed to translate the results from the analysis to executive decision-makers

Your Background


Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications (must have)

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, analytics or other relevant fieldMinimum 3 years’ experience in supply chain/procurement, category management or procurement functions in a global multi-cultural environmentExcellent presentation, oral and written communication skillsStrong analytic skill set and experienceBusiness acumen and ability to understand & identify riskAnalytical skills and use of SW Tools such as Excel/Tableau/Alteryx etc.,Ability to network across functional areas of the business and influence stakeholdersWorks with urgency and an owner's mindset to ensure actions are completed on timeStrong desire to challenge status quo and bring improvements to existing processes

Desired characteristics (ideal, but not a must)

Category management experience in electronics, harnesses or raw materialsSupply chain certification, e.g. CPIM, MCIPS or equivalent; or working towards obtaining it
