Within the central European Supply Chain Group, we work together with all angles of the organization, from logistics over operations and finance. With several system implementations (Oracle as ERP, planning tool) and strategic optimisation of the locations, a big variety of projects is in the pipeline.
The Supply Chain Specialist will be a team member in one project and a lead in other projects. This gives the possibility to evolve yourself within the organisation and get the projects with the best fit.
As the projects are spread over Europe, some travel will be part of the job.
This role will expose the candidate to all facets of the Sonoco Europe’s processes. The objective is to learn those processes while implementing already defined projects in different plants. We are looking for a person that has a passion for processes and strategic change management, with specific interest towards supply chain.
This role is an ideal position for a young professional with a few years of experience. It provides in a very short time a comprehensive insight in Sonoco processes and operational set up whilst allowing the candidate to develop the necessary expertise that will serve as foundation for her/his future success and career. It also provides the opportunity to learn about Sonoco’s manufacturing and supply chain processes in depth.
Key Responsibilities
Learn Sonoco business processes with focus on Supply Chain.
Work with plant employees to establish standard operating procedures to provide long-term sustainable improvements in operations, quality and services.
Take part in the execution of Continuous Improvement Management methodologies.
Work together with other team to put standard processes in place (development, evaluation, training)
Learn Oracle ERP system and be a specialist in Oracle ERP functionality
Learn non-Oracle systems need to support the business, eg. Production planning
Help implementation of Oracle ERP system
Assist in system configuration
Assist in data clean up
Documentation of Sonoco processes in Oracle
Training of users
Desired skills & experience
Master Degree in Engineering, Economics, Logistics, General Management or equivalent based on experience.
Project Management skills, ability to understand complex situations and apply simple and logic solutions. The ideal candidate has strong technical data analysis skills.
ERP tool knowledge is a plus
Fluent in English
